PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black Braided, Size 2-0, 12 x 30", is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of silk, a natural organic protein. It is designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation in procedures where long-term tensile strength is required. The silk filaments are tightly braided to provide a uniform strand with enhanced pliability and handling.

The manufacturing process removes natural waxes and gums from the silk to ensure consistency and minimize tissue drag. A proprietary wax coating is applied to the suture, which functions as a lubricant, improving smoothness during passage through tissue and aiding in precise control. This coating enhances knot security without increasing capillarity.

The braided construction of PERMA-HAND™ allows for strong knot tie-down, reducing the risk of slippage or breakage. The black coloration enhances intraoperative visibility and accuracy, especially in deep or poorly illuminated surgical fields.
